Questions surrounding the silence of Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi on the floor of the National Assembly have finally been addressed, shedding light on his role behind the scenes.
For years, Sudi has rarely contributed to debates in Parliament, a contrast to his outspoken presence at political rallies where he strongly defends President William Ruto and the ruling United Democratic Alliance (UDA). His silence in the House has often sparked speculation among Kenyans.
However, National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah has now clarified the matter. Speaking recently, Ichung’wah explained that Sudi, alongside Mumias East MP Peter Salasya, plays a significant role in parliamentary committees rather than plenary debates.

He emphasized that Sudi is actively involved in these committees, contributing meaningfully to discussions and decision-making processes.
