UDA party offices across the country have been flooded with applications from individuals seeking elective positions in the upcoming elections.

This wave reflects the rising influence of youth and grassroots engagement in Kenya’s political landscape.

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) indicate that aspirants from all corners of the country have lined up to register for various positions, ranging from parliamentary seats to county and ward level contests.

The overwhelming turnout has stretched party administrative capacities, with staff working overtime to ensure that all applications are properly processed.

The party has reportedly instituted a stringent verification process to ensure that all aspirants meet the eligibility criteria set out in both the party constitution and the national electoral laws.

Meanwhile, some aspirants have expressed optimism about their chances, citing increased visibility and support at the grassroots level as a significant advantage.

While competition is expected, party leadership has assured that fairness and transparency will guide the process, emphasizing that the ultimate goal is to field strong candidates capable of winning in the general elections.

The timing of the registration surge is particularly notable, coming just days before a key meeting with President William Ruto at State House.

Party insiders indicate that the meeting will serve as a critical platform for aligning the aspirations of the newly registered candidates with the broader strategic goals of the party ahead of the elections.

As the registration process continues, party officials are also emphasizing the need for aspirants to engage responsibly with their supporters and maintain adherence to ethical campaign standards.

The coming weeks are expected to be crucial in determining the shape of UDA’s ticket and the overall political landscape in the lead-up to the elections.
