The late Orange democratic Party leader Honorable Raila Odinga was airlifted to Kisumu County for the last Salute by the residents who turned out in large numbers to welcome their son home.
Unfortunately, this time, they were welcoming him in a Coffin. On the previous occasions, he called them at Mamboleo grounds for political engagements. But now, he is silent today.

Well, Kenyans briefly were left shocked after a military chopper carrying Raila’s remains failed to takeoff briefly.
According to their video, the chopper which was airlifting Raila’s remains from Kisumu International Airport to Mamboleo grounds failed to takeoff after the door failed to close on numerous attempts by the military men.
In the video, the officer is seen struggling to shut the door for about 20 seconds before it eventually closes, although not fully. They later left for the Mamboleo grounds without any Incident.
He is expected to be airlifted to Bondo from Kisumu. Initially, the body was supposed to be transported by the road, a distance of about 60 kilometers.
However, due to time and other logistics, the family and funeral committee have agreed to airlift it to Opoda farm. A place where he will be laid to rest tomorrow. May his soul rest in eternal Peace.
