Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu Is under siege after latest reports from the corridor of justice. According to the information reaching our desk, the petitioner has cited what she did in the Gachagua case as the violation of the constitution of the republic of Kenya.
It has been reported that her move to constitute a three person bench that upheld the impeachment of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua was unconstitutional hence warranting the petitioner to move to court.

According to the petitioner, Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu took up roles that are reserved specifically for the Chief Justice. She constituted a bench that ruled on Gachagua petition sending him packing and allowing the swearing in of Kindiki.
Through his lawyers, Gachagua protested the move last year, however, his petition was thrown out by the same bench.
Kenyans are now waiting to see what will happen going forward and if Philomena Mwilu will be removed from her position or not.
