Today on May 13, 2025, there was a report that Siaya County member of national assembly rejected the idea of meeting President William Ruto at State House and they Also had a plan of impeaching governor James Orengo for allegedly disobeying Orange democratic Party leader and fighting broad based government.
Speaking at the Siaya assembly buildings, the MCA’s dismissed claims that they refused to meet President William Ruto and that there is a plan to impeach governor James Orengo for going against Orange democratic Party principles and set decisions.

According to them, they did not visit the State House because county officials including the governor are outside the country on official visits. They claimed that the visit to the state house is purely development and since it should be inclusive, they will visit the President when James Orengo jets back to the country.
” We are going to the state house for the noble ideas, the development of the county of Siaya. And for this to be successful, we must also include the governor who is our leader. The meeting was therefore pushed to next week when he will available. And we are not planning to impeach our governor.” Said one of the MCA’s.
