For three weeks straight, young Kenyans took to streets to protest against government policies; corruption, high taxes and public display of opulence by senior government officials.
The protestors forced head of state not to sign the financial bill into law, sending it back to national assembly.
However, his move not to sign the bill failed to contain raising tension in the country. Kenyans continued by calling for his resignation and disillusion of his administration in totality.
Well, according to new reports from statehouse. Ruto instructed all the cabinet Secretaries to move from one media house to another and explain to Kenyans the plan.
This move is seen by experts as a tactical card to counter miss information and rally youths behind the government of the day.
Speaking to journalists at Statehouse few days ago, Ruto made it public his feelings on how his communication team failed him on passing the important information on finance bill to the public.
” I think my team failed me on engaging Kenyans on what was important in finance bill. People believed in what they were told hence ending up rejecting it without even reading to understand” said Ruto.
