MP Cries Out After DNA Test Reveals He Is Not the Father of His Child
Kenyans have been left stunned after Mumias East Member of Parliament, Peter Salasya, publicly revealed that a DNA test indicates he is not the biological father of a child he had recently celebrated.
According to a DNA test certificate shared online, the paternity test—conducted through STR (Short Tandem Repeat) analysis using buccal swab samples—returned a 0.00 Combined Paternity Index and a 0.00% probability of paternity.
The report’s interpretation states that the alleged father is excluded as the biological father due to multiple mismatches in genetic markers. The conclusion clearly notes that the tested individual is not the biological father of the child.

The document, referenced as Ref No. DFL260739 and dated April 22, 2026, further indicates that while some loci matched, several critical markers showed mismatches, leading to the final determination.
It also includes a disclaimer noting that the test was for personal use and not independently verified for legal admissibility.
In a heartfelt message posted on his Facebook page, Salasya addressed the situation with a tone of responsibility and maturity. He wrote:
“To the mothers of my children, regardless of the outcome of any DNA test, I remain committed to supporting and caring for the children, as my dedication to their well-being is unwavering.”
He added:
“I also encourage fellow fathers who may face challenging DNA results not to withdraw their support. Providing care and guidance to a child is a meaningful responsibility and a privilege, particularly where there is mutual respect and cooperation with the mother.”
The revelation has triggered widespread reactions across social media, with many Kenyans praising the MP for his openness and his stance on continued parental responsibility despite the shocking findings.
