The high court of Kenya while sitting in Nairobi threw out a petition challenging the appointment of IEBC chairperson and other commissioners to their respective positions. In its ruling, the court noted that the process was legally followed.
However, the gazette notice confirming their appointment was dismissed citing failure to obey the court order which had blocked the gazette notice from being issued.

Well, just hours after the high court ruling. Kenyans noticed something that forced the Judiciary to issue an immediate clarification.
Well, according to the judiciary communication, their online system is down. It is not yet clear if it is under attack or it’s just a normal process.
Kenyans are linking it to the possibility of people attacking the system in relation to the ruling issued on IEBC commission.
With the system down, the commission has issued an alternative way of filling petitions. Especially those that demand urgent intervention.
