Oburu Odinga Breaks Silence, Dismisses Hospitalization Claims
Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader and Siaya Senator Oburu Oginga has officially dispelled widely circulating reports suggesting he was critically ill and readmitted to the hospital under strict visitor restrictions.
Speculation surged online following media claims that the veteran politician had been readmitted to Nairobi Hospital, with doctors allegedly advising him to rest and restricting visitors to his bedside.
However, in a statement and accompanying video footage released on Tuesday, a composed Oburu put the rumors to rest, confirming that he is in good health and relaxing at home.
Addressing the media and concerned supporters, Oburu clarified that his recent hospital presence was merely a routine medical examination.

“I had only briefly visited the hospital for a general check-up with my doctors and have since returned home,” Oburu stated.
The Siaya Senator further expressed frustration over unverified reports regarding his personal well-being, emphasizing his commitment to open communication with the public. He reassured Kenyans that he would never hide any serious medical issues should they arise.
“Being sick is a normal human experience and should not alarm anyone. The day I am truly sick, I will inform you all, for I am a very transparent person,” he added.
The clarification comes as a relief to the ODM party membership and supporters across the country, who had expressed growing concern following initial reports regarding his health. Oburu remains active in his roles both as the leader of the official opposition party and as the representative for Siaya County in the Senate.
