The political temperatures are high in Kakamega County as the ruling party the United Democratic party is fighting to clinch the two seats in the By-election in Kakamega County.
The Malava seat and that of Kisa East are up for grabs. The president is determined to make a Mark in Kakamega and Western region.
If he manages to win these seats, he is going to be in a better position to battle for a region that has been supporting the late Orange democratic Party leader Honorable Raila Odinga for a long time.

According to James Shikaru who is the UDA Party candidate in the Kisa East ward by election. He has not stepped out of the race.
He clarified that Khwisero Member of Parliament Honorable Aseka Miradi lied to him to drop out of the race but after having a deeper communication with party officials, he has decided to remain in the race.
