Orange democratic Party leader Honorable Raila Odinga has for a very long time enjoyed a Massive political support from Western region people.
Since the formation of the new constitution, all the governors in Kakamega County have been elected on Orange democratic Party. This is the Case in Busia County and Vihiga County. Having an influence in the three of four counties in Western has allowed him to have a strong political muscle while negotiating with the government of the day.
Well, it seems like that is no longer the case as per the current activities within the region. This has led to political analysts warning him a possible follout in Kakamega that will lead to the end of ODM in the Western region.

At the moment, over eight members of Parliament elected on the ODM party are backing Nabii Nambwera as ODM party Chairperson instead of governor Barasa.
Some of the leaders who are opposing governor Barasa as ODM party Chairperson are; Woman representative Elsie Muhanda, Matungu member of Parliament Peter Nabulindo, Khwisero Member of Parliament Aseka Miradi, Ikolomani Member of Parliament Benerd Shinali, Lugari Member of Parliament Nabii Nambwera, Lurambi member of Parliament Honorable Titus Khamala and his counterpart from Shinyalu.
With the list growing. Raila will have to move with speed and put his house in order or risk losing the ground to the opposition team
