The opposition leader Raila Odinga has landed in trouble with Kenyans after his suggestion on how the country can move forward after deadly protests.
Yesterday, on July 7, 2025. Kenyan youths turned up in large numbers to protest the bad governance. Unfortunately, many of them got injured and even over ten of them lost their lives during the battle with Police officers.
From the video seen, a section of Police officers fired live bullets in the crowd leaving many people concerned. Well, in the same breath, it seems like Odinga’s suggestions on how to end protests are no longer needed.
According to Raila Odinga, the country must call for a Conclave at Bomas of Kenya. This will allow the people of Kenya to come up with ideas that are going to help in accountability, transparency and good leadership.
He has also proposed Police reforms that will allow Kenyans to interact well with law enforcement officers going forward. In his view, he claims that the new down will be the beginning of good things in the republic of kenya.
However, Kenyans are not taking in his suggestions. On his post, they have rebuked him in masses. They are wondering why he is calling for another dialogue when he is the same person who joined President William Ruto’s Administration after youths took to the streets.
They have asked him to step aside and allow them demand for accountability in their own way. They are asking Odinga to continue enjoying the fruits in the Kenya Kwanza administration and leave them alone.
