Orange Democratic party Secretary general Senator Edwin Sifuna was missing in action today in Machakos County. Despite being the secretary general and the entire leadership attending the meeting, Sifuna’s absence left Kenyans talking. .
The Nairobi County Senator has finally come out to address the whole issue, why he missed the event.
According to the report by Citizen TV, Sifuna missed the event because senators were not invited. The event was purely for the national assembly members. This includes Women representatives.

Through his social media accounts, it seems like he followed the event closely. He even Posted a video of Raila Odinga asking members not to declare their support for President William Ruto’s re-election before the party takes position on the matter.
Speaking in Machakos, Raila Odinga claimed that the party has not decided on not fielding a candidate in the next general election. He maintained that his sole mission is helping President William Ruto stabilize the country and after that, his mission will be accomplished and will give directions on the way forward.
