Mount Kenya region leaders are now reacting to news of new Deputy President. Professor Kithure Kindiki was appointed and finally Sworn in to office by Martha Koome today. Moses Kuria, one of the leaders who have been on record calling out Gachagua has sent him a powerful message.
Kuria has fired salvos at impeached Gachagua , blaming his tribal affiliation and ethnicity mobilization as everything that led to his downfall.
He has continued by encouraging the new Deputy President Kindiki to focus on uniting every Kenyan without necessarily looking at where they come from.
“This backward, primitive narrative has been overtaken by events. Anyone thinking that they can mobilize their politics around ethnicity, how does it benefit you” said Moses Kuria.
Few days after Gachagua was impeached by the Senate, seemingly happy Moses Kuria was seen inspecting a location which he alleged the swearing in ceremony was to take place.
Later, he went on to ask Mount Kenya West residents to give those at East time to enjoy too. He claimed that, the house of Mumbi held powerful seats before and it was time for smal sub tribes in Tharaka Nithi and Meru counties to enjoy.
Kuria was fired by President William Ruto from his cabinet after widespread protests. Was later picked as economic advisor to the president. He vied for Kiambu County governor seat only to lose to governor Wamatangi.
