Former Presidential advisor Moses Kuria has finally disclosed his political ambitions ahead of the 2027 General Election, bringing clarity to months of speculation about his next move.
Speaking during an appearance on a popular local television show, Kuria announced that he will vie for the Gatundu South Parliamentary seat, a position he previously held before the 2022 polls.
In the last election cycle, Kuria made a bold decision to abandon the Gatundu South seat and instead contest for the Kiambu County gubernatorial position.
However, his bid was unsuccessful, with Kimani Wamatangi emerging victorious after a tightly contested race backed by strong grassroots support.
Kuria’s latest declaration signals a strategic political comeback as he seeks to reclaim his former constituency.

He expressed confidence in his chances, noting that he still enjoys significant support among Gatundu South residents despite his earlier exit from the race.
The former legislator also revealed a longer-term political plan, indicating that his 2027 parliamentary bid is part of a broader roadmap toward a presidential run in 2032.
According to Kuria, returning to Parliament will allow him to reconnect with the electorate and strengthen his national political base.
His announcement is expected to reshape the political dynamics in Gatundu South, setting the stage for a competitive contest as other aspirants prepare to challenge his bid.
Analysts suggest that Kuria’s experience and visibility in national politics could give him an edge, although the race remains open.
