President William Ruto and his former Deputy Rigathi Gachagua are expected to face-off in the 2027 general election. Gachagua, who was a strong supporter of President William Ruto in the 2022 general election will be campaigning against him and hoping to send the Kenya Kwanza administration home.
For months now, Gachagua and his opposition team have been calling on President Ruto to prepare to handover power come the next general election.
According to them, the one term slogan will be actualized very early In the morning come that time. Well, the President has responded with a clear message on why the opposition will not be elected by Kenyans.

According to a report shared by Kenyans, President William Ruto claimed that Kenyans are now clever and will not be voting for people who don’t have a plan for them in the next general election. He maintained that, the opposition team lacks the plan to revive the economy, create employment and fight corruption. Therefore, Kenyans will not waste their time listening or voting for them.
The President went on to ask Kenyans to focus on national unity and development that his administration is striving to achieve. He mentioned Social Health fund and housing projects as one of the major projects that he is determined to accomplish during his reign.
