Popular Kenyan figure Karagu Muraya is mourning the heartbreaking loss of his brother, Paul Muraya, who passed away after months of battling injuries sustained in a road accident earlier this year.
According to Muraya, his brother had been fighting for his life since February 17, 2025, when the accident occurred.
In an emotional post shared on his Facebook page, Karagu expressed deep sorrow and pain, revealing the close bond he shared with his late brother.
He described Paul as not only a sibling but also his best friend and greatest supporter. Muraya recounted how, even while in hospital, Paul remained strong and hopeful, often encouraging him despite his condition.

“Bro, I loved you with all my heart… you were my best friend,” he wrote. “Even in the hospital bed, you were always smiling and telling me I will be okay.”
The heartbreaking message has touched many Kenyans, who have since flooded his Facebook page with messages of condolence and support. Many comforted Muraya while celebrating the life and resilience of his brother.
Karagu admitted that accepting his brother’s death has been difficult, stating that he will always cherish his memory. The family is yet to announce burial arrangements as tributes continue to pour in.
