President of the republic of Kenya his Excellency Dr. William Ruto has announced a public holiday to Kenyans leaving them talking.
The President who jetted back to the country from Japan a few days ago where he had gone to attend a meeting on Africa’s development agenda. Has directed Kenyans on what should be done during this holiday.
According to the latter sent to the public, August 27, 2025 has been gazetted as Katiba day. The President has asked Kenyans to use this day in the activities that promote, protect and defend the constitution of Kenya.

This is marking the 15 years since the formation of the new constitution of Kenya. A document that was created in 2010 after intensive discussions and consultations.
Although the Day will not interfere with the functionality of the government offices, Kenyans have been asked to observe it and also the diplomats have been asked to use the day to reflect on the relationship between the states in terms of the rule of law.
