Today on October 30, 2025. Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s party, DCP left Kenyans talking after pulling out of the Malava By-election.
According to the opinion polls, the candidate, Edgar Busiega was expected to clinch the seat but with the United opposition, their candidate who is now Seth Panyako will have more manpower to campaign for him.
Speaking in Malava, Cleophas Wakhungu Malalah claimed that the DCP party dropped out of the race in order to show the Luhya Unity. Seth Panyako will now have an upper hand on the ballot.

Well, just hours after pulling that move in Malava. Gachagua has made another political calculation that has left Kenyans praising him.
According to the sources close to Gachagua. He held a meeting today with Tranzoia County governor His Excellency George Natembeya and Wiper Party leader Honorable Kalonzo Musyoka.
In the meeting, they discussed various issues including how to mobilize the Western region to the opposition so that the number of votes can increase in the 2027 general election.
Gachagua is expected to campaign for DAP Kenya candidate in Malava after DCP party candidate Edgar Busiega stepped down for Seth Panyako. Well, we will keep you posted on what will happen going forward.
