Confusion As President Goes “Missing” Fails To Appear At Scheduled Event

Being President of a country is being a signatory and Chief ambassador of a state. A national unity figure with a mandate of steering the country to greater heights. Several duties are supposed to be conducted by the president with the help of his vice President and the cabinet. Well, it seems like that is not the case with the reports of a president going missing and failing to appear at a crucial event.

According to sources, there is civilian discord in Cameroon after their President Paul Biya failed to appear at the airport as scheduled. He has been out of the country for a very long time for what has been claimed to be treatment.

The president was supposed to be received at the airport by youths who were allegedly mobilized. However, they were asked to leave without any information given why the head of State failed to arrive home. He has been termed as a missing President by the locals.

“Cameroon’s  President Paul Biya was expected to return to the country on Sunday last week. He did not return. Supporters of the ruling party and the youth organisations in Yaoundé were discreetly mobilized to welcome Biya at the airport, but hours later, they were asked to return home. President of Cameroon ultimately did not return to the country and is reportedly still in Europe.
This latest event has further accentuated doubts about the health of the Cameroonian head of state.” Wrote Wandera.

“Several ministers of his government were recently summoned to Geneva, for a working meeting officially organized with a view to drawing up the budget that was already due to be signed by the head of state in early August.
No communication has been made about this aborted return or the reasons for its cancellation.
