Former Kitui County governor Honorable Charity Ngilu is back after a long stay away from the political arena. The vibrant leader who has been in the political arena for years has made it clear her mission going forward and her plans as per the 2027 general elections.
Ngilu, since the 2022 defeat for the opposition team, Azimio La Umoja- One Kenya Alliance. She remained mum on the whole political issues. That is not the case anymore.
According to the video widely shared online, the former governor has declared his stand on the Kitui County gubernatorial seat. She will be going to reclaim her seat, a seat she relinquished willingly In the 2022 general election.

Ngilu left her seat and decided to focus on supporting Raila’s ambition to be President of the republic of Kenya under the Azimio La Umoja coalition. She later disappeared from public limelight after Raila failed to clinch the seat.
She will now have to fight with senator wambua for the top seat in the 2027 general election. This is after governor Malombe is out of office. Malombe will not be contesting again since he is done with two terms as per the constitution.
