After he was impeached, former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has been gaining political mileage through sympathy and his own strategies. He has been giving President William Ruto and his government sleepless nights and at the moment, many Kenyans are anxiously waiting for his big announcement which he is expected to make at the end of this month.
While that is the case, today Rigathi Gachagua and his supporters were left scratching their heads as they were brought to reality.
Through his official X account, Nelson Havi gave Gachagua’s supporters bitter pill as he reminded them that the former Deputy President may not be eligible to run for President in 2027 general election. That is because he was impeached and if he losses his battle in the courts, then he will be ruled out to vie for any elective seat for 10 years.
Havi went ahead to hit hard at the media who had reported that Gachagua was focused on creating a political vehicle for 2027 poll.
