Kenyan National Super League side A.P.S Bomet FC has come out strongly to dismiss recent claims linking the club to alleged match-fixing activities.
In an official statement released on Thursday, the club described the allegations as false and misleading, reaffirming its commitment to fair play and integrity in football.
“A.P.S Bomet FC has noted with concern the recent allegations of match-fixing. We strongly refute these claims — they are false and misleading,” the statement read in part.
The club emphasized that it operates within the universal sports code and upholds professional ethics both on and off the pitch.
Management assured fans and stakeholders that it has already initiated internal investigations to rule out any possibility of malpractice within the team’s operations.

“To maintain transparency, the club has launched internal investigations to rule out any possibility of match manipulation and uphold our professionalism,” the club added.
While addressing the growing public concern, the team urged supporters to remain calm and continue rallying behind the players as the matter is handled appropriately.
“We call on our fans to stay calm and continue supporting the team as we address this matter firmly and fairly,” the statement concluded, signed off with the club’s rallying hashtags #MunguMbele and #TheBlackBerets.
The move by A.P.S Bomet FC comes amid increasing scrutiny in Kenyan football over allegations of match-fixing, with several clubs and players being investigated by local and international bodies.
