Wiper Patriotic Front leader Kalonzo Musyoka has issued a stern challenge to the Kenya Kwanza administration, declaring that the time has come for a fundamental shift in how the nation is governed.
Addressing supporters, the veteran politician emphasized that the country stands at a critical turning point where political leaders must abandon old playbooks and deliver real, tangible change to the public.
Turning his attention directly to President William Ruto, Musyoka mocked recent state-backed infrastructure efforts directed toward his home region in Kitui County.
He asserted that out of political fear and a desire to undermine his standing ahead of upcoming electoral contests, the government suddenly rushed to deploy resources and accelerate the tarmacking of the road leading to his home in Seikuru.
Dismissing the sudden development initiative as a calculated political reaction, Musyoka told the president that the sudden surge of interest in the region comes far too late to make a political difference.
He noted that while he welcomes development for the benefit of local communities, the timing reveals panic within the ruling coalition rather than a genuine commitment to public welfare.
He added that voters in the region are well aware of the underlying motivations driving these last-minute projects and cannot be easily swayed by political maneuvers disguised as routine public works.
Reaffirming his commitment to driving change from the opposition front, Musyoka stressed that Kenyans are increasingly demanding accountability, timely development, and leadership that prioritizes public interest over political self-preservation.
He declared that no amount of delayed road construction or targeted political strategy would deter the growing momentum for a complete political overhaul across the country.
