The Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetang’ula is facing mounting political pressure in Bungoma County following an unexpected move by Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya that has stirred fresh debate across the Western region.
In a viral video circulating online, Governor Natembeya is seen addressing a large crowd in Bungoma during what appeared to be a charged political rally.
His message was direct and critical, accusing Wetang’ula of failing to adequately represent and deliver development for the people of Bungoma and the wider Western Kenya region.
Natembeya claimed that despite holding one of the most powerful positions in government, Wetang’ula has not effectively lobbied for key infrastructure projects, particularly improvements in the road network.
