Simba Arati Breaks Silence, Issues Stern Warning To Edwin Sifuna After Bungoma Rally
BARINGO, KENYA – Kisii County Governor Simba Arati has issued a tough warning to Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna following his high-profile rally at Bungoma’s Posta grounds.
Addressing an ODM party meeting in Baringo County, the deputy party leader dismissed the enthusiasm surrounding the Linda Mwananchi initiative.
“Political hype is a passing cloud. The current noise will fade soon, and voters will shift focus to serious leaders,” Arati cautioned.
Arati insisted the Orange party remains formidable. He urged members to focus on long-term party unity rather than temporary public excitement.
Political Waves Across Western Kenya
Sifuna’s weekend rally in Bungoma drew thousands of residents to Posta grounds. The massive turnout sparked intense discussions across the political divide.

The Nairobi Senator led fellow Linda Mwananchi figures in pushing their popular agenda. However, Arati downplayed the political impact of the Western region gathering.
The Kisii governor emphasized that public gatherings must translate into party strength. He noted that thousands of new members continue to join ODM daily across all counties.
“ODM is built on solid structures, not fleeting political momentum. We are expanding our footprint every day,” Arati declared.
The ODM Power Dynamic
The exchange highlights underlying friction within the party leadership hierarchy. While Sifuna continues to pull large crowds on tour, governors like Arati are demanding structured party engagements.
Arati reminded party stalwarts that public attention changes rapidly. He warned that relying solely on rally crowds without strategic grounding risks leaving leaders stranded once the dust settles.
