Sifuna’s dramatic political ouster unfolded after a protracted internal dispute culminated in the ODM National Executive Committee (NEC) removing him as the party’s Secretary-General. Spearheaded by acting party leader Oburu Odinga, the party formally replaced Sifuna with Busia County Woman Representative Catherine Omanyo.
