NAIROBI, Kenya — Former Vice President and Wiper Democratic Movement leader Kalonzo Musyoka has sent shockwaves across the political landscape after alleging that President William Ruto’s administration is offering a massive monetary bounty to lure him into government.
Speaking to supporters shortly after resurfacing following intense media speculation surrounding his political stance, the veteran opposition figure claimed that a bounty of KSh 1 billion has been placed on his head for anyone capable of convincing him to defect to the ruling Kenya Kwanza coalition.

“They are offering one billion shillings to anyone who can successfully deliver Kalonzo to Kenya Kwanza,” Musyoka stated, reaffirming that his integrity and political principles cannot be purchased with state funds.
