Video: Gachagua Gives DCI Boss Amin 24-Hour Ultimatum Over Dr. Mutiso Murder Probe
Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has issued a fresh 24-hour ultimatum to the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Mohamed Amin, demanding the immediate arrest of a third police officer allegedly involved in the fatal shooting of Dr. Victoria Mutiso.
Speaking during political engagements in Kiambu County, Gachagua accused detectives of shielding the third suspect and warned that failure to take action would leave him with no choice but to publicly expose the suspect’s whereabouts to Kenyans.
“I have the information,” Gachagua declared. “Amin must arrest the third suspect being protected, or I will tell Kenyans exactly where they are hiding him within 24 hours.”
The bold statement follows a press briefing where DCI Boss Amin named police officers linked to the murder and made startling allegations claiming Gachagua had been in direct communication with key suspects in the case.

Amin questioned why a politician of Gachagua’s stature would engage individuals under active investigation, noting that several suspects were recently intercepted while attempting to flee the country.
Dismissing Amin’s claims, the former Deputy President challenged the DCI to send officers directly to his residence if they required a formal statement regarding phone records.
Gachagua maintained that he would not report to DCI headquarters or any police station, insisting that investigators seek him out at home if they genuinely want his cooperation.
Dr. Victoria Mutiso was shot dead in Nairobi’s Upper Hill area, sparking widespread public outrage and intense scrutiny over police involvement.
With political accusations mounting alongside the criminal investigation, all eyes now remain on DCI chief Mohamed Amin as the 24-hour window ticks down.
