“Sifuna Tosha”: Mass Support as Sifuna Storms Kitale in Display of Political Might
KITALE, Kenya — Nairobi Senator and former Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Secretary General Edwin Sifuna made a commanding political statement as his Linda Mwananchi movement made a triumphant entry into Kitale town, drawing massive crowds that brought local transport to a standstill.
The electrifying reception drew immediate comparisons to the legendary political rallies historically led by long-time opposition icon Raila Odinga. Thousands of enthusiastic residents lined the streets, chanting “Sifuna Tosha” as the senator’s motorcade snaked through the agricultural hub.
Addressing the energetic gathering, Sifuna outlined his vision for the country, emphasizing economic liberation and good governance.
The crowd continuously urged him to throw his hat into the ring for the country’s highest office, insisting that he must feature on the 2027 presidential ballot to face President William Ruto.

Supporters touted Sifuna as a reform-minded leader who remains untainted by corruption scandals, positioning him as the ideal candidate to spearhead a united opposition front.
Joining him were key regional leaders, including Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya, who has been instrumental in mobilizing support across the Western region.
“We need a brave, clean, and consistent voice that represents the true struggles of ordinary Kenyans,” declared one supporter amidst wild cheers from the crowd. “Sifuna has proven he can stand up for the people without compromise.”
The Kitale tour marks a major milestone for the Linda Mwananchi initiative as it expands its nationwide footprint. With political alignments rapidly shifting ahead of the 2027 General Election, Sifuna’s display of grassroots appeal in Trans Nzoia signals his growing influence as a key contender on the national political stage.
