Although President William Ruto and Raila Odinga engaged in heated politics for years, they resolved their beef as they decided to work together for the benefit of the Nation. That is a move that was seen as another handshake by the ODM party leader but this time, not all his ODM troops followed him to the government’s side. All in all, there have been plans to lure as many as possible ODM party members to join government and support Ruto’s agenda.
While that is the case, it seems like it is going to be difficult than thought to change the minds of all ODM party leaders. That is because today, President William Ruto was left in disbelief after what Raila Odinga’s ODM party leaders in Nairobi did to him.
According to reports, Nairobi County ODM party MPs boycotted President William Ruto’s State House meeting. It is said that only Aladwa, Jalang’o and Nairobi County women representative Esther Passaris appeared for the meeting.
Many of other leaders were full of excuses when asked why they snubbed the Head of State. Others opened up and from the way they talked, things are still not smooth between them and the government.
How ODM party leader Raila Odinga and President William Ruto will react on that is not yet known for now. The thing here is that Baba needs to act quick in order to put his ODM house back in shape before things fall out completely. He needs to unite his members and whip them in one direction otherwise the party will be in shambles.
