According to President William Ruto, he tried calling a meeting with members of the national assembly but his call was Ignored. He reported that this came days after Gachagua threatened legislators asking them to kneel for him or go home in 2027.
He maintained that he intervened three times saving the Deputy President from impeachment but Gachagua continued to fight other leaders leaving him with no option but to let mps do their work.
” I called a meeting to try and save my friend Gachagua. Members of Parliament ignored me and asked me to stop the process and allow them to impeach Gachagua for his threats.” Said President William Ruto.
