On July 22, 2025. Orange democratic Party Secretary general Senator Edwin Sifuna appeared on the citizen TV Explainer program. He held an interview with journalist Yvonne Matole Okwara, and during the said interview, he made remarks that left Kenyans talking.
While on set, Sifuna claimed that the nation’s number one priority is to see President William Ruto out of office in the 2027 general election. Sifuna also insinuated that him and other Kenyans were waiting to see youths push President William Ruto out of office on June 25, 2024.
Well, the President while speaking in Nairobi made it clear how he felt for the people calling for his removal from the office.
According to President William Ruto, those calling for his removal from office should first Present their solid plan for the republic of Kenya. They must tell people how they are going to help revive the state of the economy among others.
Just shouting that he should go without presenting an alternative leadership is not good at all. The President has challenged them to manage their campaigns through a stable manifesto.
