ODM MP Sends New Demands to Ruto After State House Consultative Meeting
A fresh political twist has emerged following a high-level consultative meeting at State House between President William Ruto and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Oburu Odinga.
The meeting, aimed at easing tensions and fostering unity amid ongoing political engagements, appears to have triggered new demands within ODM ranks.
Homa Bay Town Member of Parliament Peter Kaluma has now outlined conditions for a potential pre-election coalition between ODM and the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
In a strongly worded statement, Kaluma declared that ODM would only consider a coalition arrangement if it secures the Deputy President position should UDA retain the presidency in the 2027 general elections.
