The Nairobi Business Community has criticized Nairobi Police Boss Adamson Bungei for inadequate police protection of businesses in the city.

The community raised concerns about the alarming rate of looting in the city, questioning why shops and supermarkets were being looted without any police presence.

Speaking today, representatives of the business community expressed their frustration over the recent incidents where goons took three hours to loot businesses without any intervention from the police.

“It’s disheartening to see our businesses being attacked for hours without any police officer showing up to counter them,” one business owner lamented.

The business community suggested that the police might have been complicit in the attacks, alleging that some officers could have collaborated with the goons to target businesses during what were supposed to be peaceful demonstrations.

“This cannot be a coincidence. It seems like a well-calculated move by some in the political class,” said a spokesperson for the community.

They refuted claims that Generation Z individuals were responsible for the attacks, instead pointing fingers at a calculated move by political entities to destabilize the business environment.

“Blaming the youth for these attacks is a diversion. This is clearly politically motivated,” the spokesperson added.

In a strong statement, the business community vowed to defend themselves and their properties at all costs starting today.

“We cannot rely on the police anymore. We will take matters into our own hands to protect our livelihoods,” declared another business owner.

The Nairobi Business Community has called for immediate action and accountability from the police force to ensure the safety and security of businesses in the city.
