Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has issued a clarification on the government plan to arrest former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua when he Lands from the United States of America.
Earlier on, there were reports that Gachagua will be picked by the Director of Criminal investigation at the airport immediately he Lands.
The aim of being picked up by Police officers is making him write a statement on what he said concerning President William Ruto meeting Alshabaab leaders. Well, according to Murkomen.

Speaking to Journalists in an interview, Murkomen claimed that, the government will not arrest Gachagua at the airport. What they will do, will be to encourage the family to allow him to write a report about what he said In the United States of America. Failure to do so, he will be treated as a liar and a person with mental health problems.
” We are not going to arrest Gachagua at all. We will ask him to record a statement with the police on what he said. If he Fails, then, we will know that he is a liar who is only interested in making political statements.” Said Murkomen.
