Suba North Member of Parliament Honorable Millie Odhiambo Mabona has sparked lively debate online after responding to a bold Gen Z admirer who openly invited her on a romantic date via social media.
The unexpected proposal quickly went viral, drawing mixed reactions from Kenyans amused by the youthful confidence and the legislator’s witty response.
Millie Odhiambo, widely known for her vibrant personality and combative style of politics, took the moment in stride.
The outspoken MP shared the message on her social media platforms, revealing that the young man had expressed long-standing admiration for her and suggested that it would be “a great honor” if she accepted his proposal for a date.
In her response, Millie appeared amused rather than offended, choosing humor over dismissal. “Just like that, I have been invited for Christmas,” she wrote, a comment that instantly ignited conversations across X, Facebook, and Instagram.

Reactions from the public were divided. Some social media users encouraged Millie to enjoy the attention, noting that admiration is part of public life.
