Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and current Deputy President Kithure Kindiki are expected to lock horns in the upcoming general election. The Mbeere North seat is expected to be a battle ground for who is who in Mount Kenya.
Kithure Kindiki is considered to be the spokesperson of the region by the virtue of the office he is holding currently, the deputy President.
On the other hand, Gachagua declared himself the region kingpin. He has been asking locals to listen to him since he is going to give them the best direction in the 2027 general election.
Well, according to the information shared by Kindiki, he has hatched a master plan that is expected to destroy Gachagua’s influence in the region.
According to Kindiki, the United Democratic party has decided to reach a consensus between political aspirants targeting the Mbeere North seat. In a meeting at his official residence, Karen.

Kindiki hosted aspirants where they agreed to work together and have a strong team that will battle it out with that of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua who is determined to prove a point by winning the seat.

The seat was left vacant after Honorable Ruku was picked as a cabinet secretary by President William Ruto after reshuffling the cabinet.

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Party will by consensus or party primaries settle on a single candidate to fly our flag in the oncoming by-election to elect the next Member of Parliament for Mbeere North Constituency.
Met all the aspirants interested to run on UDA ticket for the seat in the company of the immediate former MP Geoffrey Ruku and the Governor of Embu County and Chairperson of UDA Cecily Mbarire.
Agreed on a process for the identification of the party candidate and the subsequent programme for joint campaigns. Our digital strategist Dennis Itumbi was also present.
