Karua Alleges Illegal Thing Ruto And Gachagwa Did After Winning Election

Known for her strong support for the rule of law. Former Azimio la Umoja running mate Martha Karua has opened up on Ruto’s leadership since swearing in.

In an interview that lasted more than one hour, she took time to explain how Ruto is acting strangely. She also mentioned that Gachagwa is acting strangely and opposition of the constitution they swore to protect.

Karua stated that Ruto gifted Gachagwa 200 million that had been confiscated by the courts. She insisted that Deputy President failed to explain how he acquired that money hence Court freezing it. By the case being withdrawn and money refunded was against the law of the country.

” it was illegal for Ruto to influence the court process and award his friend money that was taken from him by courts. The process was followed and Gachagwa had failed to explain how he got it. Is that not corruption and disregard of rule of law? We should not be seeing such things.” Said Karua.

She also spoke on the issue where a land tuat Gachagwa and other people ware fighting for was awarded to him. The land which has value of about 1.5 billion was given to Gachagwa. She claims it was facilitated by officials from arthi house who were coarsed.

” Look at that case where they were fighting for a lucrative land. The court awarded it to him. Officials facilitated it for him. It was a sad thing to even listen to it ” said Karua.
