The brother to the late Orange democratic Party leader Honorable Raila Odinga has made public his frustrations over what happened during the final journey of his brother.
Raila Odinga was taken to Kasarani Stadium, Nairobi after landing from India where he had gone to receive treatment. He allegedly collapsed and was Pronounced Dead at a facility where he was taken for the first aid after collapsing.

Well, speaking during the press briefing at Karen, Oburu Odinga opened up about the teargas that were thrown at mourners at the Kasarani stadium. According to him, that action did not impress him at all and police should restrain themselves while dealing with mourners.
He continued by saying that, the late Raila Odinga was teargased so much while alive and it will be very bad if he is teargased again in his death. He called on residents of Kisumu not to be chaotic during the Expected viewing ceremony on Saturday, October 18, 2025.
