For decades, former Vice President and Wiper Party leader Honorable Kalonzo Musyoka has been enjoying the Ukambani region voting block. The man from Tseikuru has been making decisions on behalf of the region for a long time now.
Well, it seems like the 2027 general election is going to be a headache for him after former Kitui County governor Her Excellency Charity Ngilu made this declaration.
According to Ngilu, she will be going for the Kitui County gubernatorial seat. A seat that she once held from 2017-2022, before leaving it for governor Malombe to serve his second term in office.

Kalonzo Musyoka’s headache will be how he is going to manage to keep together his two allies, Enoch Wambua who is currently the senator of Kitui County and seeking to succeed Malombe.
Musyoka will have to either find a way of then working together or losing one of them politically. It is going to be interesting to watch how things will unfold in the Ukambani region ahead of the 2027 general election.

The Kitui County gubernatorial seat will have a huge impact on Kalonzo Musyoka’s chances of winning the Presidential election. He will have to put his house in order by first, consolidating the entire Ukambani region which has about two million votes.
