Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua attended a Church service today in Kahawa West, Nairobi. During the service, he took that opportunity to speak to his followers on Impeachment drama that unfolded a few weeks ago.
He opened up on how it was difficult for him to handle the impeachment despite being a loyal person to the head of State, Ruto. According to him, there was only one thing that forced those in government to push him out of office.
According to Gachagua, his truthfulness cost him the position. He stated that he was against the idea of forcefully ejecting people from their homes without compensation. Luckily, the court sided with him and ruled that those affected must be compensated by the state going forward.
He maintained that all was pure politics and nothing substantive that warranted his removal from office. He vowed to continue fighting in courts as he also prepares for the next course of action.
