President William Ruto and his entourage made its way to Embu Town with residents waiting for his arrival in huge numbers.
Youths who were waiting to hear from the President did not mind the shinny sun that was the order of the day. Well, things were going on smoothly until the President took his time to welcome the area governor to address the crowd.

Governor Cecily Mbarire,’s plea to the Embu residents to allow her speak was ignored. They booed her until she had to cut her speech leaving Kenyans asking questions. This is because she is the United Democratic Party chairperson and her losing the ground might force those at the helm of the party to reconsider her position.
At the end of the rally, President William Ruto also faced it rough at one point with residents shouting ” Uongo” after his every statement. This has also left Kenyans online discussing what went wrong in Mount Kenya. A region that gave Ruto massive support in the 2022 general election.
