The supremacy battle within the Orange democratic Party is expected to be volatile after the passing of the party leader His Excellency Raila Amollo Odinga.
Speaking at his funeral, the secretary general Edwin Sifuna disagreed with the majority of those who spoke.
He maintained that Raila Odinga had directed him to prepare for the 2027 general election and that, there is no point the late leader asked them to remain in the broad based administration.

Well, just days after burying Raila Odinga. Sifuna has been asked to leave the ODM party. Speaking at an interview with TV 47. Orange democratic Party youth leader, Kasmuel McOure has asked Sifuna to leave the party if he is a man.
According to him, Sifuna has been making negative Remarks on the orange democratic Party position in the broad based administration. He dismissed claims that Sifuna was speaking on behalf of the late Raila Odinga.
