Breaking: Judge Lawrence Mugambi Security Withdrawn After Jailing Masengeli

Few days ago. High Court Judge Lawrence Mugambi sentenced Acting Inspector General of Police Gilbert Masengeli for six months in prison. His reason for jailing the police boss was because of contempt of court.

He failed to appear in person even after being asked to do so seven times. This prompted Mugambi to take necessary action within the law. According to the reports by NTV Kenya. The reason for the withdrawal of his security are yet to be made clear.

Judiciary boss Martha Koome is expected to address the nation on the same as Kenyans are left asking questions. Is it away of revenge or intimidation? Who is pulling those strings? Should Kenyans be worried?

Martha Koome Statement.

Chief Justice Martha Koome has demanded the immediate reinstatement of Police officers attached to Mugambi.

Speaking at supreme court, Koome claimed, it is not a privilege to have security but rather a constitutional right. She also termed it intimidation by the police officers for service delivery.

Kenyans Reaction.

“We are sad as a country. We must act now of face the Music later. How are police officers acting outside the law. This is purely intimidation and can’t be convinced otherwise.” Said John.

“Judiciary is independent. It should be protected at all cost. Infact, that acting inspector should be recalled immediately. It is sad to witness that.” Said Sayid.
