Strategic Political Shift in Mt. Kenya Region
The leaders gathered at Gachagua’s Wamunyoro residence in Nyeri County. They briefed the DCP party leader on their decision to leave the ruling coalition.
“We are responding to the clear direction set by our ground electorate,” stated the defecting delegation spokesman during the briefing. “Our people have demanded a political outfit that truly protects their civic interests.”
This massive political exodus signals a realignment within the Mt. Kenya voter base ahead of upcoming electoral contests.
