Speaker Moses Wetangula has been one of the key determinants of who is voted in or out of the national Assembly from Bungoma county. For almost three decades, he has managed to dictate the political winds in the Western region.
In 2022, him and Musalia Mudavadi shifted to Kenya Kwanza. A move that gave President William Ruto more votes from the Western region.

Well, that might be memories according to what is happening in Bungoma county. Today, residents were left talking after a video of Speaker Wetangula’s cousin Mutaki was heckled at a Church in Kabuchai. According to the video seen by us, Mr. Mutaki was given an opportunity to speak at a church service but instead, played politics by attacking an aspirant for allegedly disrespecting Wetangula.
Those at the function demanded that he stop that and focus on attending a church service. Many Kenyans have seen this as a rebellion against Wetangula. Aman who has controlled the region for a long time politically. It is the end of Wetangula? Time will tell.
“Worshipers at Mukhweya Faith Church in Kabuchai stop Wetangula’s Cousin Simiyu Mutaki…from verbally attacking Prof Ngome.” Report.
