For weeks now, Kenya Defence Forces have been in the limelight for reasons that angered a section of Kenyans.
Just a few days ago, they were mentioned heavily in the expo by BBC news. According to the BBC, the military men were used by unknown people to kill protesting youths at Parliament buildings. The revelation left many Kenyans asking questions and demanding for accountability.
Well, Kenyans are now demanding for another accountability after what was reported today by a grieving father. The chief of the Defence Forces Kahariri has been asked to act quickly.
Speaking at the funeral of his daughter Precious Rebecca, former Bumula member of Parliament Honorable Mabonga decried how military officers were working hard to conceal evidence that led to the death of his daughter who was a military officer too.

According to Mabonga, his daughter died at 1PM but was alerted at 5pm. He was then told that she vomited suicide but when he reminded to be shown the rope that was used, he was not shown at all. Seconds, the house key belonging to her daughters was not handed over to him but rather it is with the father to the main suspect, the boyfriend whose father is a military officer.
He has also claimed that the phone belonging to his daughter is with the DCI officers but the phone belonging to the boyfriend has not been handed over to the investing agency.
Mabonga has called on the Chief of defence forces Kahariri to act quickly and make sure that justice is served as he laid his daughter to rest.
“This is so painful.
Why would Military Police conceal a heinous crime just to protect father and son… what happened to sanity. Yes, Gen. Kahariri, you have work to do. Rogue people shouldn’t be part of the Kenya Defence Forces. Never. Pole sana my friend Hon. Mwambu Mabonga.” Posted Philip Etale, ODM party communication director.
