National Assembly Speaker Honorable Moses Masika Wetangula has finally broken his silence following growing claims that President William Ruto has sidelined the Luhya community in recent key government appointments.
The concerns, raised by a section of Kenyans, also dragged Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi into the debate, with questions being asked about their influence within the Kenya Kwanza administration.
In recent weeks, President Ruto has announced several high-profile appointments across government institutions.
However, observers have noted the apparent absence of individuals from the Luhya community in some of the positions, sparking online debates and public pressure for clarification.

Addressing the issue, Wetangula dismissed the claims, insisting that President Ruto is a fair and inclusive leader who is keen on balancing appointments to reflect the face of the nation.
He urged Kenyans to avoid politicizing government appointments and instead allow the President space to work and unite the country.
Wetangula further called on those questioning the appointments to stay patient, noting that leadership is about national unity rather than tribal considerations.
He also appealed to the Luhya community to continue supporting President Ruto, arguing that political goodwill and electoral support are key to securing development and resources for the region.
His remarks come amid ongoing debates about regional representation in government ahead of the 2027 general election.
