In his address, Ruto claimed to have employed about 72,000 teachers since he took power in the 2022 general election. He explained the impact of such a decision will have to the education sector.
My administration has employed over 72,000 teachers to cover the shortages we are witnessing in the country. We are having a plan to employ another 26,000 teachers by January in order to cover the remaining gap in the sector. My administration is determined to see a quality education for our nation.” Said President William Ruto.
